JetBlue’s unbelievable deal

JetBlue has created quite a stir with its All-You-Can Jet Pass. For $599, you can fly anywhere you want and as often as you want from Sept. 8 to Oct. 8.

JetBlue flies to more than 50 cities throughout the United States and Caribbean, as well as Cancun and San Jose, Mexico; Bogota, Colombia; and Aruba.

The pass is good on any available seat booked at least three days before scheduled departure. Taxes and fees are included on domestic flights, but not international and Puerto Rico.

The sale is good through Aug. 21, or while supplies last. Passengers who have a flight booked during Sept. 8 and Oct. 8 can pay the difference to upgrade to the pass. For full details or to purchase a pass: www.jetblue.com or 800-538-2583 and select 4.

Berkeley resident takes plunge

Chris Danner of Berkeley is halfway through a summer stint visiting 11 countries in less than three months as one of two STA Travel world traveler interns.

Hyatt sponsors contest for kids

Aspiring kid journalists could win a trip for their family to a Camp Hyatt location.

Hyatt Resorts is searching for a child ages 6 to 12 to go “On Assignment” at a Camp Hyatt location and report about their experience online. The grand prize is a five-night trip for the child and three guests at a Hyatt Resort of their choice in the United States or Caribbean.

To enter the contest, the child should describe in a short video why he or she should be the Camp Hyatt Reporter, then parents can upload the video at www.camphyattonassignment.com. Entries are due by Sept. 4.

Bracebridge Dinner tickets on sale

The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite will journey back to 17th century England for the holidays in the 84th running of the popular Bracebridge Dinner.

Tickets are on sale for the seven-course dinner performances, staged at 6 p.m. Dec. 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 and 25. Single tickets for the dinner are $375 per person (including tax and gratuity). Lodging packages at the Ahwahnee, Yosemite Lodge at the Falls and the Wawona Hotel are available with rates starting at $963, which includes two tickets to the dinner, a portrait sitting and shuttle service for non-Ahwahnee guests.

Free concerts by the Andrea Fulton Chorale and soloists will take place in the hotel’s Great Lounge on nights when the dinner performance is dark, Dec. 15-23.

Bowl a game for free
