That’s a baseball score, by the way.

Once Lake Elsinore, a San Diego Padres affiliate, took a 21-0 lead through four innings Friday night, this was pretty much over for Lancaster, a Boston Red Sox farm team.

The Storm, which had 28 hits, fell short of the California League record for runs (34 by Fresno in 1947). Kyle Blanks and Matt Antonelli each had six hits, and Chad Huffman had two home runs among his five hits.

“Like I was telling some of our fans late in the game, this was a once-in-a-lifetime thing to see,” Lancaster General Manager Brad Seymour said. “I just hope I don’t see it again.”
