“You know what they say: Never negotiate with terrorists. It only encourages them. These last few months, much of the country has watched in horror as the Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people.” — New York Times liberal columnist, Joe Nocera (August 2, 2011.)

Tea Party? Gee, for a moment there I thought Joey boy was talking about the Occupy Wall Street mob.

* * *

Well Lisa, whadda ya think? The Tea Party movement is no longer the “flavor of the month,” as the expression goes. Have you checked out that new movement that our President seems to embrace or at least “understands” their frustration? They were even anointed by her Holiness, Nancy Pelosi: “God Bless them for their spontaneity. It’s independent…it’s young, it’s spontaneous, and it’s focused. And it’s going to be effective!” Uh, huh. Let us remember that’s the same Nancy Pelosi who back in 2009 called our Tea Party movement “astroturf” and “un-American” people who were “carrying swastikas.”

But Frank, isn’t the media trying to make a comparison between you Tea Partiers and the Occupy Wall Street movement?

Other then we agree that the banks and the auto industry should not have been bailed out, no Lisa, there is no comparison. Some of these OWS protestors are all over the page and still can’t define specific goals outside of the fact that they believe capitalism is evil and want radical change and a free-spending government. Yeah, one that’ll give them that utopia world they long for while passing out free 45 rpm records of “Puff The Magic Dragon” in every tent.

Contrasting that, the Tea Party movement was born out of our love for America and we were indeed focused. We explained our frustration clearly over the need for fiscal responsibility with limited government, constitutional adherence and lower taxes. We were the first ones to protest bailouts and crony capitalism years ago and we did so without the class warfare, without demands for forgiving student loan debt, without anti-Semitic comments, without trying the patience of city officials, without poor hygiene and most of all, without the violence.

But Frank, they claim that 99 percent of America supports them. Can that be?

Actually, that number is in reference to their perceived differences in wealth and income from the haves and have-nots (once again, class warfare). But have they forgotten that the top onepercent that’s “hoarding” all that wealth also pay 35% of all federal income tax? But I guess a Revolution is no place to bring up facts and figures to get in the way of their preconceived notions. Now get a load of who supports them Lisa…They have received the endorsements of multi-multi-millionaire faux-documentary director Michael Moore, Louis Farrakhan, Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, The American Communist Party, The American Nazi Party and a slew of other crazies.

But wait a minute Frank, how can that be? According to Pelosi, you guys should have been embraced by the communists and the Nazis, no? After all, weren’t you the ones who were supposed to be “un-American” and “carrying swastikas?”

Yeah, the hypocrisy is mind-boggling. While Madam Pelosi may not agree with the Tea Party philosophy, she can’t deny the very fact that our movement was instrumental in changing the political landscape of Congress (we took back control of the House, remember) and we did it peacefully. Any guess now to what change the Occupy Wall Street movement that she believes is so “focused” will make?

More overtime for local police?

Touché Lisa, touché.
