The A s made another roster move Friday, putting right-handed reliever Edward Mujica on the disabled list while recalling infielder Andy Parrino from Triple-A Nashville.

Both moves had been expected with Mujica suffering a minor thumb fracture when hit by a line drive hit by Tampa Bay s Bobby Wilson Thursday night. To make room on the roster for Parrino on the 40-man roster, infielder Tyler Ladendorf, recovering from left ankle surgery, was moved to the 60-day disabled list.

The moves leave the A s one pitcher short but get the A s up to the standard 13-man position player total, Parrino moving into the slot vacated by Coco Crisp. The A s are expected to move Crisp, suffering from a neck injury, onto the disabled list in the next 24 hours while adding a pitcher, Kendall Graveman, who will start Saturday s game against Tampa Bay.

Mujica, acquired from the Red Sox on May 9 after Boston put him on the designated for assignment list, had not allowed a run in five appearances with the A s.

Parrino, who has been up with the A s for bits of the 2013 and 2014 seasons, was hitting .273 with four homers in 38 games with Nashville. The switch-hitter has been hot of late, averaging .313 in May after hitting .236 in April. He has primarily been at shortstop (33 games), but has made appearances at both second base and third base.
