Around 2:15 p.m. Monday, sheriff’s deputies and investigators were called to the Altamont Landfill in Livermore, on the eastern edge of Alameda County.
“Workers located what they suspected to be a deceased person in the debris and garbage,” said Sgt. Ray Kelly. “It’s likely that the person was discarded in the trash, and the body made its way through the transfer station, which is the last stop (before the landfill).”
