Thirteen more government entities — including BART and the Solano Community College District — have been added to the Bay Area News Group’s online database of 2010 government compensation.

The additional data can be viewed starting Saturday at ContraCostaTimes.com/salaries and InsideBayArea.com/salaries. The total data now includes more that $16 billion in taxpayer spending covering 280 government agencies and 243,041 employees in the greater Bay Area.

New data, requested under the California Public Records Act, shows BART spent $370 million to employ 3,360 people last year, a figure that includes salary, pension, health benefits and other costs. The transit agency’s highest paid employee in 2010 was police Commander Maria White, who grossed $444,552 and whose total cost of employment, including benefits and other expenses, was $482,264. Former General Manager Dorothy Dugger, who resigned in April, grossed $345,352 and cost BART $423,978 to employ, including $57,921 in pension and deferred compensation costs.

BART, according to the data, also paid for the medical insurance of its nine elected board members at a total cost of $148,916. The top insurance benefit went to board member Robert Franklin, who received health insurance that cost $27,974.

Other agencies added to the database include the Solano County Office of Education, the Novato Fire District, and the Ross Valley, Healdsburg Unified and Roseland school districts.

Agencies that have yet to release 2010 data include the city of Oakland, the Oakland Unified School District, Santa Clara County, Solano County, Berkeley Unified School District and the city of Menlo Park.
