T-Mobile iPhone users seeing crashes, ‘blue screen of death’

Some T-Mobile iPhone users are experiencing restarts every 10 to 30 minutes and the dreaded “blue screen of death,” according to MacRumors and reports on social media and elsewhere.

A customer care representative told SiliconBeat that T-Mobile has received “several” calls about the problem, and that it was an issue on T-Mobile’s end that should now be resolved. The representative also recommended disabling WiFi calling, which apparently has worked for some users.

Users of iPhone 5S, 6, and 6+ across various software versions have complained about the issue over the past couple of days.

It is unclear if T-Mobile released a carrier update that could have caused this issue. After speaking with a T-Mobile technician, a Reddit user suggests it could be a memory problem.

“The sense I got from the technician is that a) they suspect memory problems, and b) they’re getting a lot of calls about it,” the user wrote.

In a Reddit thread, some Verizon and AT&T iPhone users said they were experiencing similar problems.
