In the wake of a deadly shooting at a historic black church in South Carolina Wednesday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg took to the the social network yesterday night to express his condolences.

A white shooter opened fired during a bible study at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, killing nine black congregants, including the pastor, on Wednesday night.

Police arrested shooting suspect, 21-year-old Dylann Roof, yesterday and the U.S. Department of Justice has opened a hate-crime investigation.
