LinkedIn already has its corporate headquarters in Mountain View, but the social network also has another development project in the works.

The company confirmed Thursday it plans to propose a development project with the California commercial real estate firm SyWest that would be built on North Shoreline Boulevard.

This area is zoned for the highest density and calls for a mixed-use center that supports a broad range of uses, including entertainment, retail, and office. Our plan will include all of those uses, said Crystal Braswell, a LinkedIn spokeswoman.

Braswell said that the project is in line with the city s North Bayshore Precise Plan, which includes standards for development and guidelines for architectural design.

She said more details will be revealed Friday after it submits the plans to the city.

Google is also expected to unveil plans for a giant, adjustable canopy of metal and glass on Friday, expanding its corporate campus in Mountain View.
