In a push to further expand its mobile reach, Yahoo announced Monday it will hold its first mobile developer conference in February.

The one-day San Francisco event will highlight tools created by one of Yahoo s recent acquisitions, Flurry, to analyze phone user data and help mobile developers improve and monetize their apps.

Flurry CEO Simon Khalaf, now described as Yahoo s vice president of Flurry products, plans to give a State of Mobile address. He tweeted Monday that the free Feb. 19 event will unveil exciting new products — the 1st fruits of Yahoo/Flurry.

Flurry is one of more than 40 companies bought by Yahoo since Marissa Mayer took over in 2012, and reflects part of her strategy to turn around and revive the Sunnyvale-based Internet giant by strengthening its mobile and social reach.

Yahoo posted an invitation and announcement on its Tumblr page.
