ZipRealty, the Emeryville-based tech-driven real estate company, has agreed to be acquired by Realogy for $166 million in cash.
The acquisition includes ZipRealty s software platform and data analytics and customer relations software that includes a lead scoring tool for real estate agents.
The deal will see Realogy bring 17 of ZipRealty s residential real estate brokerage offices into existing offices operated by Realogy s largest franchisee, NRT. The remaining six offices will be operated on a stand-alone basis, according to the company.
Realogy said it expects to maintain ZipRealty s existing Emeryville headquarters.
Realogy s franchise brands include Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, and Sotheby s International Realty.
ZipRealty has 1,800 independent sales associates and 23 offices.
