As I wrote last week, the world got a rare peek into Android s finances because of the ongoing legal battle between Google and Oracle over Android s use of Java.

Shares of eBay are tanking, down about 15 percent at the moment, after its earnings release yesterday. Meanwhile, PayPal shares are up sharply after its results. It looks to be a validation of the split, and of Carl Icahn s push.

Google s AI beats professional human players at Go, the Chinese board game. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had recently posted that Facebook s AI was working on the same thing. Bloomberg reports that Google s AlphaGo had higher scores than Facebook s.

ICYMI: Federal regulators found serious flaws at Theranos lab that they say jeopardized patient health. Theranos, whose lab is in Newark, says most of those problems have already been fixed, and that it s working on the rest.
