The current issue of Time magazine featuring President-elect Barack Obama on the cover is flying off store shelves.
The news weekly says demand for the Nov. 17 commemorative issue has been extraordinarily high since it hit newsstands last Thursday. It says there have been three printings of the issue and retailers are asking for more.
Customers also are flooding the magazine’s subscription line requesting as many as 10 copies each.
The magazine says thousands of customers have bought copies of just the cover’s image. It’s a photo of Obama taken on election night during his victory speech at Chicago’s Grant Park.
