NFL: Houston Texans at Detroit Lions, 12:30 p.m. ET

The Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving? It’s one of the two games that make the NFL’s annual Thanksgiving Classic. The opponent this year? The Houston Texans — the best team in the AFC. It’s worth mentioning here that the Lions have not won a Thanksgiving game since 2003. Even though you know what’s going to happen, it’s still tradition to watch.
NFL: Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys, 4:15 p.m. ET

Hey, remember Linsanity? Basically, New Yorkers went crazy over Jeremy Lin, a player who had bounced around a number of teams, and found his way to the Knicks. It was perhaps the feel good sports story of the year.

The Knicks didn’t sign Lin; instead, he went to the Houston Rockets. And then, something else happened. The Knicks, who have been perennial cellar dwellers, started to win. They’re 8-1, the best record in the NBA.

Soccer: Manchester United FC vs. Queens Park Rangers FC, 9:30 a.m. ET

NCAA Football: Florida at Florida State, 3:30 p.m. ET
It’s a big-time rivalry, as the 10th-ranked Florida State Seminoles take on the No. 4 team in the nation, the Florida Gators.
