Taylor Swift and her people didn’t waste time Tuesday going on the PR offensive against so-called elite hackers who threatened to release nude photos of her.

Hackers affiliated with the Lizard Squad, which has also claimed recent disruptions of Facebook, Instagram and Malaysia Airlines websites, seized control of the pop star’s Twitter and Instagram accounts, Us magazine reported.

Starting early Tuesday, updates were tweeted from Swift’s Twitter account, instructing her 50 million-plus fans to follow specific members of the squad. Similar messages were sent out from Swift’s Instagram account.

The hackers also claimed to have nude photos of Swift and demanded bitcoins in exchange.

But Swift’s team managed to get Twitter to quickly delete the hacker tweets. Swift herself issued a lighthearted response, first tweeting, “Cause the hackers gonna hack, hack, hack, hack, hack hack …” then saying the hackers couldn’t possibly have nude photos of her. “Have fun photoshopping cause you got NOTHING.”
