Pablo Sandoval homered in the ninth inning and also hit a double at Municipal Stadium in the second game of his rehab assignment, but San Jose still lost its eighth in a row. Sandoval, the San Francisco Giants’ third baseman who is returning from a hand injury, was the designated hitter for San Jose and batted third, going 2 for 5. Jarrett Parker hit a two-run homer for the Giants.
