SAN BRUNO — A 2-year-old child died and three adults were injured in a two-alarm house fire Friday morning, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to an 8:45 a.m. call reporting the blaze at a home in the 100 block of Lake Drive near Monterey Drive, south of Portola Highlands Park.
A 20-year-old woman suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, where she is in critical condition, officials said.
An elderly man also was hospitalized, though details of his condition were not provided. A firefighter suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, authorities said.
Firefighters encountered heavy flames and smoke at the home and contained the fire within about 15 minutes, officials said.
