Hmm, I’ll give you … oh, maybe three-and-a-half stars. You could have made four if you’d remembered my birthday and if you’d do something about that awful dandruff. Really takes you down a notch as a human being.
Yes, as if judgmental tweets, ratings on dating sites and shaming/bullying Facebook posts aren’t enough, here comes a new app that lets users review and rate (with stars) individual humans, Yelp fashion.
You might as well be the burrito shop down the street.
It’s called Peeple, and it’s logging controversy even as we speak, before its November launch. People (probably in the measly two-star category) are calling it creepy and terrifying. Even though BBC News reports comments will be screened for abusive content and posts are not anonymous, “users will not be able to delete comments made about them, nor will they be able to remove themselves from the site once on it.”
