A powerful and penetrating address by Interfaith Peace-Builder Lynn MacMichael will be offered on Sunday, April 25, at St. Peter Church, 700 Oddstad Blvd. MacMichael will give a compelling account and present images of the harsh realities of the Palestinian people in the Occupied West Bank and in East Jerusalem. The gathering is from 1 to 3 p.m. and will be held in the Church Meeting Room.

MacMichael made her ninth trip to Palestine in October and November of 2009.

As a member of the Interfaith Peace-Builders delegation, Lynn was brought face to face with the grim conditions under which Palestinians are suffering in the Occupied Territories. Many Americans lack reliable information about the lives of people living in refugee camps on their own lands in Palestine.

Millions more have dispersed and are living in poor conditions in Lebanon and other Middle Eastern states. Nor do we have a clear understanding of the terrible suffering caused by the Israeli settlers on Palestinian lands.

The settlements have been condemned by the International community and are considered to be in violation of International Law.

MacMichael has photos and stories to share with our community. Her style of presentation is open and there is room for dialog and comment. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event. You will probably be taken aback to hear about Palestine and its current intolerable situation under Israeli Occupation.
