SAN JOSE — (AP) Only minor injuries were reported Thursday after a head-on collision between a school bus carrying special-needs students and a minivan, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officer Chris Falkowski said the crash occurred shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday at an intersection near Interstate 280.
The bus was heading to Campbell Community Center.
Four students on the bus were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Falkowski said.
The driver of the minivan — a pregnant woman — suffered a slight abrasion on her leg.
Her passenger, an adult male, was taken to a hospital after saying he was experiencing some pain.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
