THE STAT LINE: Drobny had two home runs and three RBIs in an 8-0 win over De La Salle. He also scored and doubled in a 3-0 win over Foothill as the Wolves improved to 2-0 in the East Bay Athletic League. Drobny was also 1 for 2 with a run in a 6-0 nonleague win over Dublin.

EVENTS: High jump, long jump
THE STAT LINE: Grant won the high jump at the Oakland Invitational Relays on Saturday with a personal-record leap of 6 feet, 8 inches. Entering last weekend, only three high jumpers in the state had a 6-8 clearance or higher this season, according to the DyeStatCal leaders list. Grant also took first in the long jump (a wind-legal 22-71/2).
Billy Johnson

POSITION: Center fielder
THE STAT LINE: Johnson went 9 for 12 in four wins for the Pilots. He had home runs in three straight games and totaled nine runs, nine RBIs, five stolen bases, two doubles, a triple, three walks and two hit by pitches.

THE STAT LINE: The right-hander threw a complete game to lead the Pirates to a 5-0 nonleague win over Ygnacio Valley, giving him his second straight scoreless outing. On the year, he is 3-1 with a 0.91 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 23 innings.
