NEWARK — About 13 pounds of methamphetamine and a makeshift lab were discovered when authorities raided a home in a residential neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, police said.
The Alameda County Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force found the drug operation about 3 p.m. in a residence on Bonnie Street between Noel and Dairy avenues, Newark police Cmdr. Mike Carroll said.
Newark police assisted the sheriff’s office in closing Bonnie Street for several hours, Carroll said.
Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were called in to dismantle the lab, police said.
Police did not say if any arrests were made.
