A Terra Nova High School graduate, who worked in pest control, will be missed by the many people who knew and loved him in Pacifica. He grew up in Pacifica and was passionate about the coast. He enjoyed surfing as well as taking photos of surfers, sunsets, beaches and birds. It was not unusual to find him at the beach with his dogs or camping. Franco was mentor to a lot of the younger surfers and was the Pedro Point Surf Club’s official photographer. He lived in Las Vegas for a while, but returned to live in San Bruno a few years ago. Franco was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Tom. He is survived by his younger brother and his 9-year-old niece and many many close friends!

Official Paddle out Memorial for Jim Franco, Saturday, Oct. 16, 1:30 p.m. Linda Mar Beach, meet at the south end near the creek. We’ll have a traditional paddle out circle to honor Jim. All are welcome and encouraged to paddle out! Post celebration of Jim’s life at La Playa, for food fun and great Jim stories. Hope to see you all there.
