Marlins’ Charlie Armenta
got the start against a tough
Cardinals line-up and pitched a
solid four innings. The offense
was lead by Will Maloney who
slammed an RBI triple and
a double. Jeremy Watts and
Jake Guererro added a base hit
each. Sean Snead did a great
job relieving Armenta and
pitched two strong innings.
Snead also made the defensive
play of the game with an
unassisted diving put-out at
first base. Braden Rigling and
Steven Macedo had one RBI
each.

Marlins 4

Cardinals had five hits.
Toshi Hensley and Mario
Fare each had one hit, one run
scored and one RBI each. Marcus
Johnson and Robert Stice
each had one hit and one run
scored. The other hit was by
Brett Karalius. Ryan Davis had
a pair of runs scored. Jack Solano
scored one run, and with
great hustle, Donovan Rice
scored his run from second
base.Nice pitching by Karalius
with seven strike outs, Stice
with two strike outs, and Chris
Miglio with four strike outs.

California League
Al’s Carpets Angels 7
Hack’s Rockies 3

Tyler Shaw with two hits,
one RBI and one run scored
led the Rockies. Others with
one hit apiece were Spencer
Karalius also with one run
scored and Alex Garsa. Good
pitching by Karalius who
threw five strike outs, Chris
Rodriguez with three strike
outs, and Anthony Kavanaugh
with one strike out. The Angels
defensive armor was up
with Jeffrey Goias throwing
heat every pitch. Jared Julian
and Giovanni Fabiani-Wyatt
did a great job catching. Defensively,
third baseman Cameron
Devry, Tony Zamagni
and Fabian Gutierrez at fi rst
base, and second baseman Michael
Bigler’s made outstanding
plays. Julian closed out the
game pitching very well. Tanner
Martin, Goias, and Julian
all had RBIs. Hitting singles
were Patrick Doss, Julian and
Goias.

Pacific Coast League
CA Shower Door Pirates 10
Upper Crust Orioles 9

Strong pitching by JJ
Townsend and Trevor Hodge
helped hold the Orioles scoreless
through the first three innings, striking out five of the of the first eight batters faced.

Nikko Davis, Danny DeFilippis, Jackson Fiske, Graham Callaghan, Massimo Sibillo, Miguel Sanchez, Patrick Nolan, Jacob Barnett and Hodge all contributed to the balance scoring attack. Good glove work in the later innings held the charging Orioles at bay. Hodge snagged a fast grounder just past the mound and made a great throw to first to get the runner. Dylan Macias, Guerrero Santino and Nolan made key defensive plays.

Round Table Phillies vs.
Mariners

Ethan Holden made solid contact for singles up the middle to drive in runs for the boys in Red. The team came together with Malcolm Hall’s heads up play in the field retiring a runner at third base. Jacob Moreton and Dylan Russell were strong defensively. Luke Zuromski was an effective presence behind the plate. Henry White showed his range and turned in a couple of fine plays at shortstop.

Morello Family Chiro A’s

Mariners looked great with some exceptional hitting from Morgan Wysling and Leo Sweeney. On the field the defense really stood out with some heads up plays from Will Merwin and Aidan Sterling.
