Each spring comes an event that truly glitters: Bay Area Glass Institute’s Great Glass Auction. But each year’s auction has a unique, special sparkle all its own, and that’s thanks to creations by local, national and international glass artists, which go on the block to benefit BAGI.
The 11th annual Great Glass Auction, takes place March 24, 5:30 p.m. at the Palo Alto JCC Cultural Center, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto.
Guests can make their bids in live and silent auctions, and enjoy a champagne reception and dinner. The evening also features the presentation of the Saxe Fellowship and Jurors’ Choice awards, as well as the People’s Choice Award–the recipient of which will be picked by guests.
The auction raises more than a quarter of the budget for BAGI’s programs and operating costs, which include scholarships and visiting artists.
