Stephanie Wei, Archbishop Mitty swimming: Won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 50.95 seconds) and the 100 breaststroke (56.92) at the West Catholic Athletic League championships, setting league records in both events. She also swam on two winning relay teams.
Alexandra Groetsema, Palo Alto golf: The freshman shot a 4-over-par 75 at the Rancho Cañada East Course in the boys Central Coast Section regional qualifier, tying for eighth place. Her score would have qualified for the CCS tournament this week.
Melissa Maves, Branham softball: Had five hits, drove in three runs and scored twice in a victory over Prospect.
Eileen Nguyen, Milpitas track and field: Won the 100 meters (12.0 seconds, wind-aided) and the 200 (24.76) at the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division finals.
