Steve Jobs jumps to #2 among 49 Most Influential Men(0)

Boy, we’re glad the wait is over. AskMen.com’s list of the Top 49 Men of 2008 came out today. (Why 49? No idea. And honestly, prior to today we’d never heard of the site, which includes this quote on its “about” page from a July issue of Time magazine: “Think of it as Cosmopolitan for men … AskMen is the go-to site for single guys on the make.” That is certainly a large target market.)

We went through the list, so you won’t have to, in order to locate the best and the brightest of Silicon Valley who made the list. Musical with start-up mentality set to open on Broadway tonight(1)

On a brief sojourn to New York City over the Independence Day holiday we had a chance to see the second preview of a new musical set to open at the Lyceum Theater on the Great White Way tonight called [title of show] that got where it is in no small part thanks to the Web.

Novellus gets naming rights to Yerba Buena theater(0)

Novellus Systems, the San Jose maker of semiconductor-manufacturing equipment, entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco that will put its name on the art center’s 750-seat theater, which will now be known as Novellus Theater, according to a press release put out by the company Monday.
