The coroner was called to a fatal accident on state Highway 35 in unincorporated San Mateo County south of Portola Valley just before 3:30 p.m. today, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A motorcycle and pickup truck collided just after 2:30 p.m.
The accident occurred near the Russian Ridge Open Space, and is blocking both lanes, CHP Officer A. Paulson said.
A Sig-alert was issued at 3:12 p.m. for both lanes of the two-lane highway, and there is no estimate for when it will reopen.
