Alexza Pharmaceuticals announced positive results from its second Phase 3 clinical trial of its inhalation drug candidate, AZ-004, otherwise known as Staccato loxapine, being developed to treat acute agitation in patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Aryx says its drug candidate ATI-7505 designed to treat chronic constipation and abdominal pain passed “an important cardiac safety study” conducted under a collaboration agreement with Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, according to one of the press releases the company put out Wednesday.
