Netgear became the latest Silicon Valley public company to announce it will cut salaries for its executives. On Tuesday, the company’s board of directors approved a “temporary 10% reduction in the annual base salaries of all full time senior managers at the vice president level or above including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and other Named Executive Officers,” according to a filing the company made Thursday.

Beginning last Monday the brass at Santa Clara’s Applied Materials took their second 10 percent pay cut in less than a year “in order to reduce costs due to deteriorating global economic and industry conditions,” according to a filing today with the SEC.
