As part of “Charlie Chaplin Days: 100 Years in Niles,” the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum in Fremont hosted a weekend of special museum hours with art exhibits, film screenings and contests.

On Sunday, entrants suited up as the “The Tramp” actor, who filmed silent pictures in Niles a century ago, in a look-alike contest featuring youth and adult categories.

Alani Taira emerged as the winner in the adult category with Johnny Villar as runner-up.

Among youth, Marcos Jung, 6, took the top spot with Boaz Zipoly, 7, in second place.
