It looks like Anthony Scaramucci and his wife, Deidre Ball, have called off their divorce and even reconciled, according to Page Six.
That would certainly be a switch — given that things got pretty ugly between the two after Ball filed for divorce when she was nine months pregnant and just as the man known as “The Mooch” jumped into his notoriously short-lived and highly controversial tenure as Donald Trump’s White House communications director.
Court records cited by Page Six show that Ball withdrew her divorce case against Scaramucci on Wednesday. And sources close to Scaramucci confirmed their renewed relationship on Thursday. The sources say that the two, in fact, are a couple again.
But that leaves open the question of Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Page Six said the reunion of Scaramucci and Ball “surprised many,” given multiple reports that the former Wall Street hedge fund manager was in a relationship with Fox News co-host Guilfoyle as recently as October.
Multiple sources told Page Six and other outlets that Scaramucci and the former first lady of San Francisco had been dating, and there were even reports that they took romantic trips to Rome and house-hunted together in Manhattan.
Through sources, Scaramucci and “The Five” star consistently insisted that the two were just friends. Back in September a source told People: “I can assure you there is no love affair going on, there’s never been anything physical between those two, they are fond of each other.”
As for Ball, things between her and Scaramucci became bitter in the months after she filed for divorce on July 6.
The couple already were parents to a 4-year-old son when Ball gave birth to their second son July 24. At that time, Scaramucci was only a few days into his historically brief and tumultuous tenure in Trump’s White House.
Scaramucci famously wasn’t present at his son’s birth. A week later, he was forced out of his job, following a profanity-laced rant to a New Yorker reporter about Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon.
Amid all this turmoil, news surfaced that Ball, who is supposedly no fan of Trump, had become fed up with Scaramucci’s “naked political ambition.”
Ball had worked for SkyBridge Capital, the firm that Scaramucci founded in 2005 and then sold in order to work for Trump.
“Deidre has left him and has filed for divorce,” a source told Page Six at the time. “She liked the nice Wall Street life and their home on Long Island, not the insane world of D.C. She is tired of his naked ambition, which is so enormous that it left her at her wits’ end. She has left him even though they have two children together.”
The report also sad that in September, things got especially heated when Scaramucci demanded a paternity test because he questioned whether the son whose birth he missed was his.
But it looks like that issue and others have been settled and the couple is back together. But they aren’t talking about their reconciliation to the media. Scaramucci’s lawyer declined to comment when reached by Page Six. Ball’s attorney also failed to respond.
