PALO ALTO — The pilot of an amphibious aircraft landed in San Francisco Bay around 1:30 p.m. Sunday after being unable to extend the nose gear to land at Palo Alto.
The pilot of the Lake LA-4 landed without incident, according to Ian Gregor, public affairs manager with the FAA Pacific Division. The pilot was not injured and the aircraft was not damaged.
The plane is registered to Ludwig Klaus of Rio Vista.
