Palo Alto-based Adaptive Insights on Monday announced the hire of new CFO Jim Johnson, formerly of TIBCO Software.

Adaptive also added former Citrix Systems president and CEO Mark Templeton to its board, as part of a larger effort to expand its leadership team. Templeton retired from Citrix last year, after 20 years with the company. Now he serves on the board of directors for Equifax and Keysight Technologies. Last week Citrix announced the appointment of Kirill Tatarinov, a veteran Microsoft executive, as the company s new president and CEO.

Templeton s new Adaptive board role is effective immediately. Johnson s first day was Jan. 19. He takes over CFO duties from co-founder Robert Hull, who will stay on as chairman of the board.

The news comes on the heels of what Adaptive described as a record fourth quarter. The company ended 2015 with 50 percent year-over-year growth in total annual recurring revenue bookings, according to a news release. Adaptive hit 3,000 customers in the fourth quarter, according to the release, and added Toyota Sweden, UC Davis and E.W. Scripps Company to its client list.

Adaptive, which has raised $176 million since its launch 12 years ago, provides companies with cloud-based performance management software. The company closed a $75 million fundraising round in June, which was intended to be the final fundraising round.  Investors include Norwest Venture Partners.
