Stanford student want to let you browse with your eyeballs

He's come up with a technology called Gaze-enhanced User Interface Design, or GUIDe. Our Mercury News colleague Michael Langberg describes it in his latest column (you'll have to scroll down to second half), and here are some other references in a Stanford presentation (page 9). Note that Kumar is part of Stanford Professor Terry Winograd's team. Winograd was one of the early advisors to the Google guys, and actually worked at Google for a time.
Besides letting you browse, it will even help you switch between applications. It will take pressure of your hands and fingers.
Kumar says it could be ready in two years. Let's see, that's well within the three-year time frame or so that venture capitalists like to invest within. Wonder how long it will be before VCs lure him off campus? Give 'em three weeks?
