Roundup: Technorati's facelift, Dabble launches, AMD wants to be Intel

Blog search engine Technorati has just had a major facelift. You can see a summary via the company's screencast. Basically, they now offer a "signed in" version and "signed out" version. The "signed in" version, where you log in, hopes to become your home page. It will let you organize and peruse your favorite blogs. It comes with all the sort of features you'd expect. You can tag everything, and then discover videos, books and well, basically anything in the kitchen sink -- by searching stuff tagged by others.

Dabble, a company that lets you search for videos -- it accesses more than 240 video hosting sites -- and then lets your organize them, is now up.

AMD, the large Sunnyvale chip company, wants to be more like Intel. It is tired of being Silicon Valley's No. 2. So it has bought Canadian graphics chip maker ATI Technologies for $5.4 billion, a risky move that some are praising, and others are criticizing as a strategic blunder. Mercury News colleague Therese Poletti has the story, with both sides.

Hi,

We have lauched similar kind of service (uLinkx) back in May. Besides providing user to collect videos from Google, YouTube, Yahoo etc., We also provide them functionality to collect online music. Currently, we support only few video site for automatic bookmarking (Of course you can add manual bookmark for any site), but soon we plan to add few more popular sites.

On uLinkx, you can search videos from Google, Yahoo, Youtube without leaving the uLinkx site. It will present the search result in easy to add format. This feature is missing in dabble.

Please checkout http://www.ulinkx.com/

Good to see dabble comes out with competing service.

Thanks,
uLinkx Team
