Silicon Valley VCs boost investments by 27 percent

All arrows are pointed in the same direction: up.

Last week, we reported that venture capitalists raised more money from their investors than they have in five years -- a good sign they will invest more in private companies.

And today we have news that they are doing exactly that. Here is our story on how Silicon Valley venture capitalists invested 27 more in the second quarter, compared to the first.

That's a bigger boost than the 7.8 percent jump seen nationally.

We'll see how long this lasts. The flagging stock market may put a damper on things.
