HP, Dell among the "green" computer manufacturers

recycle.jpg
Congrats to Hewlett-Packard, Dell and CTL Computers.

At an event today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Green Electronics Council will announce those companies have produced computers that are friendly to the environment, as well as being good performers. This comes from an official research effort, funded by the EPA. More info here: www.epeat.net

Based on our own reporting, we can say HP really does care about this stuff. Buying a computer is a very personal decision, but if everything is equal in your decision, you may want to consider buying one of these three companies for green reasons.

this is good news.

please see greenpeace india website at http://www.greenpeace.org/india/news/wipro-applies-thought-earth-h.

it has taken huge amounts of pressure on wipro, the indian bodyshoping/outsourcing giant and also a manufacturer of computers, to go green.

i was reading that warren buffet gave 20+ billion dollars for charity. if he had spent a fraction of that in 'corporate watchdog/corporate environmentalism, corporate no-no/etc' kind of things, the world would be much better and environment for our innocent children will be much more greener.
