Seems like there are more VCs are blogging now than photo-sharing start-ups seeking their capital, which is saying something:

Kara Nortman

Kara Nortman, a venture capitalist at Battery Ventures, may seem serious in most postings to her blog, Venture Inside. She's geeky, too, admitting to solving the questions on Google's billboards during her commute to work. Watch out, though: If you strike her just right, she'll throw aside her modest front, and chase you through Central Park -- especially if you're a promising entrepreneur. According to her profile, she likes occasionally "speaking one䴜s mind with reckless abandon."

Stu Phillips

Then there's Stu Phillips, who left USVP to launch RidgeLift, and writes the blog Soaring on Ridgelift, and recently mused about the possibility of free phones, supported entirely by advertising. He mentions the case of Xero Mobile, of LA, which awards students airtime if they listen to advertising, as not getting enough attention. His posts are pretty thoughtful too. Seems like these new VCs are realizing that bland, vacuous blog postings don't do much for one's brand.

Josh Kopelman

Outside of the valley, there's Josh Kopelman, who writes Redeye VC. Kopelman, Managing Director of First Round Capital, lives in Philadelphia. Among other accomplishments, he founded Half.com in July of 1999, acquired by eBay in July 2000.
