4Info, mobile search co., raises more cash to battle Google

4info_logo.gif
4Info, the Palo Alto start-up that wants to take on Google in mobile search, has raised $9.5 million in a third round of venture capital financing. Return backers include Draper Fisher Jurvetson and U.S. Venture Partners. The comes on heels of a big promotion deal with Gannett, so we think the $9.5 million might represent the round in which Gannett invested.

I saw 4info demo about 6 months ago - it is pretty cool. I can see it's going to be very useful and powerful, particularly in the places like China. Now DFJ is in, wow....

Matt,

I noticed you are doing tags with Technorati now. Just little tip: you can put "+" between words and that will do. For example: venture capital
