If there's one story we'd recommend those wanting to see the forest from the trees, it is this Mercury News story by Michael Langberg: 20 Ways to converge when we only need 2 or 3.
There is a lot of hype, but Langberg, as is his custom, takes us "beyond the glitter."
We didn't cover the CES details here at SiliconBeat, but here are a couple of other Mercury News stories summarizing Google and Yahoo's new offerings, which are putting photos, video in home, on the go (free registration), and related to Mike's story above, the confusing plethora of devices.
