Hyperwords looks useful

If you have the Firefox browser, check out this Hyperwords plug-in.

We haven't used it yet, but have requested permission to test it (you have to email them). Apparently, you just point to a word on your screen, and a menu will automatically appear. You can then search the major search engines, look things up in reference sites, check dictionary definitions and more. Here's an example of how it works with the word 'Robbie'.

We mention Hyperwords, too, because people behind it are headed out here to Silicon Valley. Hyperwords' Frode Hegland tells us: "I am currently in Singapore but live in London and Patricia is in Mountain View. I'll be moving early January to set up office somewhere in the valley, don't know where yet."

Hi Guys. You can do some of the things in Toolbars, but not really the same thing. Please visit the site and have a look :-)

Guess what? We just released version 1.5 which adds a powerful Toolbar function!

This new version also addresses the issue of the menu popping up to frequently (which could make it a little annoying) by adding new Preferences so you can specify exactly how it should work.

In a monthâs time version 2.0 will be launched, featuring full user customizability, as well as Microsoft Internet Explorer support.

Get this new version as well as more information at http://www.hyperwords.net

1.5 is borne out of user feedback and we'd be very grateful for any further thoughts and perspectives or questions. Please contact me via email 'frode 'at' hyperwords.net'.
