Google releases transit planner, but not for its backyard
Check it out here. It works for the default suggestion of Portland, Oregon. But not for anywhere in the Bay Area yet. Transit request for San Francisco Airport to our office in San Jose renders a dead-end.

Wow..exactly the kind of service that makes a difference. IMO, these are the kind of tools people are looking for rather than 100.. bad clones of a service that already exist.
BTW..it is kind of nice that the planner also provide the fare details.
I love it.
