Bangalore boom
Matt already mentioned the stories that colleague John Boureau has written about the Bangalore tech boom. But I'll call special attention to the multimedia Flash presentation that our crack photo staff produced. It really brings the story to life with photos and narration by the people at the center of the stories. One slide show features an upscale Bangalore neighborhood that's become home for many Indians returning from the U.S. One person in the piece says that 80 percent of his neighbors are from the Bay Area. And then there's the contingent of young Americans who went to work for Infosys in India to jumpstart their careers, and found many slices of America. "I never imagined I would move to India and be able to order Dominos,'' says one.

Well done prezo. The boom and the brain drain has been going on for a quite a while now and is it is just that the media has been throwing more attention onto those topics off late for "obvious" reasons.
Seems, everything is going well with India and other Eastern countries but for the poor infrastructure and corrupt administration that gets worse with time :(

I find interesting is really what is happenning in with other 900 Million people in India, who have no food on the table, while these guy's so called elite class people have fun, and how rich they look by having X # servants/ maids etc.. Essentially what all this boom is doing to India is creating a rich class in terms of Indian standard,What would interesting hear what are these so called returned ex-patriots are doing for society in India , Vs. showing off there wealth in everything for me sort of approach?
By the way there are numerous so called startup Telco companies like Exalted Networks, Talisma etc.. in India. As these guys could not make it in US as a startup decided to pack up and go try the Indian market out. Indian Telco market is not like US, where people get paid for Network boxes.
