How much was the Topix deal worth?
PaidContent digs into the SEC filings for two of the three media companies that bought stakes in Palo Alto start-up Topix.net and concludes that the total deal was worth about $50 million. That's a pretty nifty multiple, as Jeff Clavier notes.

Whoever paid that much should be fired. No one else was even bidding for these guys. No one uses their site. A clear example of the traditional media being duped!
