Snap launches news site

We're not quite sure what to make of it yet, but the Snap search engine unveiled its news search page today called NewsFilter. Go play with it here. The keyword filtering is kinda fun. It's apparently powered by X1 Technologies, another Idealab company that also happens to power Yahoo's desktop search tool. And it looks like the news results are being fed by San Francisco's Moreover Technologies.

Comments

Is this still somehow owned by NBC (TV network)?
I remember them launching (about 6 years ago) a failed attempt at keyword linking through the snap.com domain (or was it snap.nbc.com)
