Fiorina ousted

UPDATE: Interesting to see Roger McNamee's take on this, i.e., that the HP-Compaq merger was destined to fail. And while he diplomatically says Fiorina wasn't a "total failure," his argument nevertheless suggests she wasn't the right person for the job.

Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina has been ousted by the company's board of directors. It happens a day after Kleiner Perkins' Tom Perkins joins the board.

Initial Mercury News story here.

Hopefully, this will encourage other boards of directors around the country to take a more hands on approach. Great job guys! If only it could have happend sooner.
