Sonicwall to relocate from Sunnyvale to space in San Jose owned by Xilinx(0)

sonicwall-logoSonicwall, the Sunnyvale supplier of network security tools, has agreed to lease 72,000 square feet from chip maker Xilinx at 2001 Logic Drive in San Jose and will relocate its headquarters there after the lease on its current Sunnyvale space expires Sept. 29. The new lease begins Sept. 1 and continues for an initial term that expires Sept. 30, 2014.

Cisco anticipates multi-million dollar tax bite based on Ninth Circuit decision in Xilinx case(0)

Xilinx cutting 200 jobs, or 6 percent of work force; executives taking pay cuts(0)

xilinx-logo_bgXilinx, the San Jose maker of programmable chips, said Wednesday it expects to cut 200 jobs, or about six percent of its total workforce. The move is expected to cost anywhere from $11 to $13 million in charges during its current quarter, mostly to cover severance pay, and estimates that it will save the company somewhere between $4 and $5 million per quarter.
