Here’s what’s going on in tech on Friday…

–The Bitcoin craze has reached the top of Apple’s App Store charts. Coinbase, which runs one of the world’s biggest exchanges for cryptocurrency, has claimed the No. 1 spot for free apps on the App Store.

–With all the excitement brewing over Prince Harry’s engagement to actress Meghan Markle, Netflix, on Friday, debuted the second season of “The Crown,” its series about the early years of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

–YouTube looks to join the streaming-music subscription game, and will reportedly launch a paid service next March.

–And speaking of music streaming, Spotify and Chinese internet giant Tencent have reached a deal to make investments in each other’s music businesses.

–What’s a few teraflops of processing power between friends? It’s a lot, to Nvidia, which has released the Titan V graphics processor, said to be the most-powerful such chipset for the PC.

–So what if the new iPhones have only been on the market for a few weeks? It’s time to start looking at the possible specs of next year’s models.

–Sheffield, the fourth-largest city in England (and birthplace of the band Def Leppard) has stripped Uber of its operating license there, effective Dec. 19. The city’s council said it make the move after Uber failed to respond to requests about its management.

–Elon Musk was at a party on Thursday, and, reportedly, let slip that Tesla is working on artificial intelligence hardware that could be “the best in the world.”
