Google most sought-after workplace for Americans — but not for Republican Americans

The political divide reaches deep here in the U.S.A.

And when it comes to where folks would really, really like to work, it appears there’s a generational divide, too.

A new survey of 220,000 U.S. adults found that with a couple of exceptions, every demographic sees Google as the apex employer.

That’s young people, old people, men, women, high school graduates, PhDs, poor people, rich people, Westerners, Southerners, Midwesterners and Northeasterners.

It’s just not Republicans or Baby Boomers.

That’s according to the survey by brand-management firm Morning Consult Intelligence.

Overall, Google was the top-choice employer, followed by Disney, Amazon, Apple and Microsoft.

Republicans, however, put Google as No. 3, after Amazon and Harley-Davidson.

Baby Boomers preferred Google even less — it’s No. 7 on their list, which starts out with Amazon, Disney and Harley-Davidson.

But, as Inc magazine pointed out, the Morning Consult results probably don’t reflect widespread ambition for Google jobs.

“Surveys like this are more a measure of brand familiarity and product attractiveness rather than an informed desire to work for a certain company,” Inc reported.

And maybe one reason that the Baby Boomers don’t “prefer” working at Google is that they know that they would never be hired because of the horrendous age discrimination at that firm and other tech companies.

On both sides of the political divide, this is just a matter of brand prestige, with people having no knowledge of working conditions, nor any idea if it would be satisfying to actually work for these companies.

The hypocrisy of the Tech Left, which suppresses freedom of speech and support for the elected U.S. President makes any job with them not worth it. Their road to Stalinism and control becomes shorter and shorter.
